The 14th Egham Hythe Christmas Tree Festival
Tuesday 3rd – Sunday 8th December 2024
Plans for the 2024 Christmas Tree festival are underway! Please note that the installation of trees will be on Monday 2nd. An outline of the programme so far is below, but watch this space for updates. The concept is simple: local community groups, societies, stakeholders and businesses are invited to bring a Christmas tree to the festival and decorate it to a theme of their own choice. There is no charge for non-profit organisations. For businesses and commercial organisations we are asking for a £50 donation which goes to support this community initiative. Trees can be themed to promote a particular cause, humorous, thought provoking, or just simply artistic. As an Eco Church we’d love you also to consider the environmental aspects of your offering.
Events to include the following - watch this space for updates and email office@speh.org.uk if you would like to know how you can be involved:
- Monday 2nd December - installation of trees and decorating the church (please note earlier date)
- Tuesday 3rd December Youth space event
- Wednesday 4th 9.30am Festival Opening Ceremony with the combined school choirs, followed by a Community networking and celebration event from 10-12
- Thursday 5th 9.30am Toddler Nativity
- Thursday 5th 1-3pm Community Tea Party
- Friday 6th 7pm So is this Christmas?
- Sunday 8th 3pm Christingle
- Monday 9th December - removal of Community trees
